A video clip has gone viral on social networks, showing the now-famous lottery ticket seller, whose name is Nguyen Van Ut, born in 1936.

The clip has touched the heart of many viewers. Many readers have left positive comments, saying that despite working hard at his age, the man still demonstrates beautiful behavior that inspires many people.

Quang, 31, who posted the clip, said he saw the lottery ticket seller in the Quang Vinh 1 market area of Tan Uyen City in Binh Duong province. Quang is a merchant selling pork at the market. 

On that day, when he opened his stall, he saw the lottery seller walking over to the woman who sold birds on the roadside.

After several minutes of discussion, the man asked the seller to set the birds free. The woman stared at the old man with doubt, but when the man said he would buy the birds for VND900,000, the woman opened the cage, caught each bird, and released them.

After seeing the birds fly away, the man opened the lottery bag, took bank notes worth VND1 million, and gave them to the woman. He received VND100,000 in change.

The behavior of the old man surprised people nearby. When they realized that he wanted to set the birds free, they visited him and bought some lottery tickets to help support him.

Quang, who has been selling pork at the market for 12 years, has known the lottery ticket seller for 12 years. He was moved when seeing the man, who is poor, spending VND900,000 to rescue the birds.

For someone who earns his living selling lottery tickets, he must save for many days to have VND900,000.

“I felt sorry for the man and told him I wanted to buy some lottery tickets and give him some money as a gift. But the man only accepted payment for the tickets, and refused my gift,” Quang said.
