The hot weather in the central region could not prevent Le Van Duan of VUS HCM City from grabbing his second win at the HCM City Television Cycling Cup April 15.

Duan cycled the six stage 162km from Dong Hoi City, QuangBinh Province, to Hue City with a time of 4hr, 2sec.

His first win was the third stage on Tuesday.

Yellow jersey holder Nguyen Thanh Tam of An Giang finished second and maintained his place as leader of the tour. He also kept the green jersey for best cyclist.

Hoang Thanh Tung of Military Zone 7 secured the yellow jersey as the best young athlete after six stages.

With Duan’s victory, VUS HCM City stand stably on top of team rankings.

Riders will have a day off today.

The competition will be back on Sunday with a 42km course around Trang Tien and Phu Xuan bridges in Hue.
