VietNamNet Bridge – Tens of thousands of swallows have been resided in the My Hiep industrial complex in Cao Lanh district, southern province of Dong Thap for nearly two months, making an unprecedented phenomenon.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nang, 54, a local, said that the swallows began living in the industrial complex on November 29, 2012.

The birds usually fly away at around 5 am and return to the site from 17h30 to 18h everyday. Tens of thousands of birds cover the sky above the area.

Thousands of people have flocked to this area to see the birds.

According to the elderly, this is a very strange phenomenon in the region.

Swallows often choose the places with fresh air and peaceful environment to reside. Locals believe that this is a sign for a bumper crop and the good environment here. Many people have voluntarily protected the birds from hunters.
