Recently, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and the Vietnam Education Trade Union presented the award to Minh Tam in recognition of her remarkable resilience and heartfelt contributions to the teaching profession.
She has become a shining example of overcoming adversity and positively impacting the community through meaningful and inspiring actions.
In 2009, Tam suffered a serious accident that severely affected her health and daily life.
Despite the challenges, she continued to teach with distinction, pursued further education, and remained devoted to her students. Today, she holds a master’s degree in mathematics and a second degree in English.
Over the past 16 years, Tam has consistently spread kindness through charitable activities such as organizing compassionate meals for disadvantaged individuals, participating in charity runs, and founding the “Nhat Tam Scholarship Fund.”
The scholarship fund has raised over 7 billion VND (approximately 278,000 USD), helping hundreds of underprivileged students stay in school and supporting patients with financial difficulties in receiving treatment.
Tam is also one of the pioneers in organ donation registration, reflecting her profound humanitarian spirit and deep sense of social responsibility.
Upon receiving the Certificate of Merit, Tam expressed her heartfelt gratitude and shared her commitment to continuing self-improvement, enhancing her teaching capabilities, and contributing further to the development of education.
