Traffic accidents caused by potholes raise public concern

A coach from HCM City to Binh Dinh Province flipped on its side on National Highway 1A in Long Khanh Town in the southern province of Dong Nai on Wednesday evening. — VNA/VNS Photo Sy Tuyen

Two passengers on the coach, a 27-year-old mother and her 3-year-old daughter from the central province of Binh Dinh, were killed. The 17 people who were injured were taken to Long Khanh Hospital.

The coach was on its way from HCM City to the central province of Binh Thuan. As it was heading toward Xuan Tan Commune in Long Khanh Town, the coach driver, Nguyen Tu, 39, lost control of the vehicle.

The coach flipped on its side, colliding with a motorbike stopped on the side of the road.
