The Central Highland Biological Institute was originally built in 1949 and is notable for its French architectural style. The site has quickly become a popular spot for sightseeing among young people.
The Central Highland Biological Institute can be found located on Tung Lam hill, roughly 7km away from the centre of Da Lat city. The institute itself lies in the middle of a pine forest. The Biological Institute has five floors with 120 large and small rooms. The second floor is notable for specialising in ecology. The Institute is home to a total of 386 animals and 58 species, of which 38 of them are rare species which are listed within the Vietnam red book. A display of the typical birds found in the Central Highlands. Mushroom species that are found in Lam Dong pine forest on display. Many couples choose the Institute as a spot to take wedding photos. |
