Located approximately 100 kilometers from Hanoi, the lush meadow in Dang village, Sa Ly commune, Luc Ngan district, has recently emerged as a popular tourist destination in Bac Giang province. Known for its pristine natural beauty and pleasant climate, this area is often referred to as "Miniature Da Lat."
Nestled near the meadow is a crystal-clear lake surrounded by forest, with gentle waves rippling across its surface year-round. The expansive meadow, with its rolling hills and endless green grass, rivals the beauty of Western landscapes.
Local photographer Huong La shared that the meadow has yet to be developed for tourism, so it remains largely unknown, frequented mainly by locals for farming and natural livestock grazing. This preservation of its untouched beauty makes it an ideal "healing" destination for those seeking a retreat from urban life.
The journey to the meadow is relatively convenient, with visitors having the option to trek or enlist local guides for specialized motorbike transport.
According to a local guide, the trek to the meadow is quite accessible. Visitors can park their vehicles at a local's home and hike approximately 5 kilometers to reach the meadow and forest lake, a journey taking 1.5 to 2 hours. Alternatively, visitors can hire local drivers to transport them by specialized motorbikes, conserving energy and time.
Being an undeveloped site, visitors can immerse themselves in nature with activities such as hiking, sightseeing, camping, and cloud hunting.
Each season brings a unique beauty to the meadow. Visitors may witness breathtaking seas of clouds or mountains shrouded in mist. From January to March, the area experiences a crisp chill, with clear skies and blooming flowers surrounding the forest. From July to September, the meadow is at its most vibrant, with lush greenery and pleasant weather.
"The meadow is expansive and refreshing, making it a perfect healing destination. However, since there are no established tourist facilities, visitors should bring their own food, drinks, and personal items," advised Huong La.
Those who trek should consider hiring a guide and choose suitable hiking footwear and attire. Additionally, visitors should adhere to safety guidelines, consume food responsibly, and refrain from littering to preserve the natural landscape.
While exploring the lush meadow in Sa Ly commune, visitors can also venture to nearby attractions such as the 975 Peak and the Van Cung mountain range.
Moreover, don’t miss the opportunity to savor the local delicacies of Luc Ngan, including roasted pork, noodle soup, ant egg sticky rice, and traditional cakes, along with renowned fruits like lychee, Canh orange, and Huyen Son custard apple.
