Located in Song Ho commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province, Dong Ho painting village has been recognized as Vietnam’s intangible heritage.
Coming here, visitors will not only admire vivid paintings or long-standing masterpieces of famous artisans, but also learn about the Dong Ho painting making process and witness how artisans make paintings.
Phat Tich Pagoda is also known as Van Phuc Pagoda. This pagoda is located on the southern slope of Phat Tich mountain. The pagoda is about 20 km east of Hanoi. This is one of the oldest pagodas in Bac Ninh. The pagoda’s architectural style is imbued with the Ly dynasty. It is home to the largest stone Buddha statue of the Ly Dynasty in Vietnam.
The pagoda also has other famous and majestic works, including a 27m-high statue of Amitabha Buddha on the top of the mountain, and the ancient Quang Pho Tower.
Another famous traditional craft village in Bac Ninh is Phu Lang Pottery Village, located in Que Vo district.
Phu Lang Pottery Village was formed during the Tran Dynasty.
But Thap Pagoda is also known as Ninh Phuc, Nhan Thap, or Hoang Cung pagoda. It is located about 40 km to the east of Hanoi center, on the bank of the Duong River in But Thap village of Dinh To commune, Thuan Thanh district.
This is a Buddhist work of nearly 800 years old, extremely famous for its unique architecture. It is also one of the ancient temples from the Tran Dynasty with the most complete architecture in Vietnam today.
