At the meeting with Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, the two sides highly valued the developments in the two nations’ relationship, asserting to boost cooperation in prioritized areas such as climate change adaption and sustainable agricultural development in the future.
The Queen, as the UN Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, confirmed that Viet Nam has been selected as one of the 25 nations for the inclusive finance program. She expected to pay an official visit to Viet Nam by 2016.
The Deputy PM and FM and US Trade Representative Micheal Froman talked about the achievements made in the Viet Nam-US Comprehensive Partnership, agreeing to coordinate in well preparing for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties so as to bring the relationship to a higher level.
Deputy PM Minh proposed the US grant flexibility for Viet Nam in order to early conclude the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) negotiations, affirming that Viet Nam is doing its utmost to ensure the high quality and balance of the TPP.
At the meeting with Thai Deputy PM Devacula Pridyathorn in the presence of some Vietnamese and Thai enterprises, the two sides consented to accelerate the Strategic Partnership relations, especially in terms of economic cooperation and sub-regional economic connection.
Viet Nam will facilitate Thai businesses' investments in Viet Nam, including those coming into large projects for the sake of both, Deputy PM Minh confirmed.
On January 23, Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh will attend and deliver speeches at some crucial discussions of the meeting.
