Da Nang’s Bach Dang spring flower street will remain open until May 1, allowing residents and tourists to enjoy its beauty beyond the Lunar New Year and into the city’s major commemorative events, according to Da Nang’s Department of Tourism.
This marks a significant extension compared to previous years, when the flower street was open for only 15-20 days. The floral and light display project, aimed at celebrating Tet 2025, features 14 flower-decorated zones and 8 lighting installations, with a total investment exceeding 18 billion VND ($707,000).
The spring flower street officially opened on January 27 and has since become a popular attraction, drawing large crowds of locals and tourists eager to take photos and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Key highlighted areas of the flower street include the Administrative Center, Da Nang Museum (42 Bach Dang Street), scenic spots along the Han River’s sidewalks, and the T-shaped pedestrian bridge.
The Da Nang People’s Committee announced that the flower street extension aligns with the city’s official celebration plans for major events in 2025. One of the most significant events is the 50th anniversary of Da Nang’s liberation (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025).
As part of the celebrations, the city will host a grand military parade and public procession on the morning of March 29.
The festivities will also include fireworks displays at three locations: Bach Dang Square (Hai Chau District), in front of the Lien Chieu Administrative Center, and at the western ring road resettlement area (Hoa Vang District).
Additionally, a riverboat parade and floral float procession will take place on the Han River on the evening of March 28.
By keeping the flower street open until May, Da Nang aims to enhance the festive experience for residents and visitors while boosting tourism during Vietnam’s major public holidays, including Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers’ Day (May 1).
