On April 10, Da Nang International Airport announced that T2 has officially been awarded the Skytrax 5-star certification for 2025.

Skytrax is a globally recognized organization specializing in aviation industry ratings. T2 is currently the only airport terminal in Vietnam to have achieved this distinction for two years running.

Skytrax praised T2 for its wide range of high-quality passenger amenities, including a premium lounge, baby strollers, children's play areas, mother-and-child rooms, shopping carts, prayer rooms, self check-in counters, self-service baggage drop, automated immigration gates, and smart departure gates.

As of 2025, only 19 airports and 5 airport terminals worldwide have achieved the 5-star Skytrax standard.

Additionally, in Skytrax’s 2025 list of the world’s top 100 airports, Da Nang International Airport ranked 84th, climbing 10 places from its 2024 position. Noi Bai International Airport also made significant progress, ranking 79th - up 17 places from last year.

Da Nang was also ranked 9th among the top 10 airports in Asia.

Notably, the expansion project for Terminal 2 is scheduled to begin on September 2, 2025. The upgrade will introduce an equal number of self check-in and baggage drop counters alongside traditional ones, helping to optimize check-in time and enhance the passenger experience.

Founded in 1989, Skytrax is a globally respected organization that evaluates and ranks the aviation industry across airports, airlines, lounges, and cabin crews.

Its assessment criteria are updated annually, pushing airports and airlines worldwide to continuously improve and refine their services.
