VietNamNet Bridge – Nestled between Dalat and Phan Thiet cities, about 60 kilometers from Bao Loc Township, the Da Mi area proudly offers two beautiful manmade lakes namely Ham Thuan Lake and Da Mi Lake. The charm of the two lakes always lures passers-by to stop and admire.

The two lakes were formed from the construction of Ham Thuan-Da Mi hydropower plant. Ham Thuan Lake lies on La Nga River, a branch of the Dong Nai River system.

Amidst the lake are eight islets in varied sizes covered by green tree layers which are able to make the scenery more romantic and peaceful.

The lake has many fish so it is the ideal venue for a spot of fishing. Coming to the lake, tourists can buy large fresh fish from locals to make their own wild party on the lake.

Unlike Ham Thuan Lake which covers 2,500 hectares, Da Mi Lake is just 700 hectares. It is a self-contained lake, so its surface is completely still. Seen from above, the lake looks like a sapphire mirror surrounded by small mountains. Standing there near the lake, letting wind gently blow through your hair and keeping your eyes on the greenness of the surroundings, tourists will feel time standing still as if they are in heaven.

The best time to admire the pristine beauty of the site is dawn when the sun just appears and mist hovers over the mountain peaks and reflects on the lakes.

Apart from the two lakes, tourists can also explore three-storey waterfall, nine-storey waterfall, Tazun and Daguri waterfalls.

The most striking among them is Mist Waterfall.
