Every year in January and February, Dalat City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong is blanketed by the pink of sour cherry flowers (Prunus cerasoides), or mai anh dao in Vietnamese, which is a harbinger of spring.

During the time, sour cherry flowers bloom at every corner of the romantic city—from streets to schools and old France-style villas. Both tourists and locals are enchanted by the lovely beauty of mai anh dao.
