Nora Luttmer, born in 1973, lives in Hamburg as a freelance journalist and author. She studied South-East Asian history, politics and cultures in Passau, Hanoi and Paris.

Since the mid-1990s she has made regular visits to Hanoi. She can speak Vietnamese. Her work has been published in several newspapers, journals and books, including Public Private Hanoi, a collaborative photo-essay with André Lützen.
