VietNamNet Bridge – The 28-year-old striker will join the Vinh City-based Song Lam Nghe An FC (SLNA), his hometown club, this football season.

 

In an unexpected move, the disbanded Hanoi FC has “lent” Vietnam’s top striker Cong Vinh to SLNA for one year at the charge of VND500 million ($25,000).

SLNA will pay Cong Vinh a monthly salary of VND30 million ($1,500).

Cong Vinh began practicing with SLNA FC on February 21.

If he plays well, Vinh will have a chance to return to the national team. Earlier, the coach of the national squad, Hoang Van Phuc, said that if Cong Vinh is unemployed, he cannot join his team.

In SLNA FC, Cong Vinh’s number is 89. In the past, Vinh was known as a young talent of SLNA FC, with the number nine. Joining Ha Noi T & T or Hanoi FC, he was still stick with this number.
