Con Dao's Cau Islet is drawing tourists not only for its breathtaking views but for its impactful conservation programs, where visitors can help save sea turtles in an unforgettable setting.
Spanning nearly 20,000 square meters, the Governor's Mansion on Con Dao Island, built in traditional French architectural style, served as the residence for 53 colonial rulers from 1862 to 1975. Today, it stands as a preserved relic of a bygone era.
The management board of the Con Dao National Park on June 28 announced a temporary suspension of swimming and coral viewing activities at several marine conservation areas from July 1 to September 30.
Abnormal water temperatures in Con Dao have caused the corals to expel the colourful algae living in their tissues, leading to mass bleaching.
