Coffee export turnover in the first nine months of 2019 was estimated at nearly 2 billion USD, down 20.9 per cent from the same period in 2018.
Coffee prices declined in the first months of 2019 and fell to their lowest level in years. The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association has asked the Government to shore up coffee stocks for the next six months.
In addition, the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association asked for putting an end to herbicide residue in coffee in a bid to remove difficulties for enterprises that want to export their product to demanding markets.
