VietNamNet Bridge – The Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) has commuted the bans on coach Nguyen Duc Thang and defender Nguyen Van Nam.

Thang of the People's Police team, who had been banned for his vulgar display of dissent against a referee during a Second Division match against Tien Giang in May, will have his ban reduced to nine months from a year.

This means that Thang will not work until next March.

Defender Nam, from the V-League's Hai Phong FC, will serve a month less than the original tenure of his ban by the VFF.

Nam turned violent in the tournament's 17th round early this month and was involved in an on-field brawl with Hoang Vu Samson of defending champions Ha Noi T&T.

The defender, therefore, can only take part in the last two last rounds of the league on August 3 and 10.
