By the second leg on January 5, search volume soared to a record-breaking 1 million queries, according to statistics from the Coc Coc search engine.

Top trending keywords included “Vietnam vs Thailand” (ranked 1st), “Thailand vs Vietnam” (2nd), “Live football” (3rd), “Football live today” (6th), “Today’s football” (8th), and “AFF Cup” (10th).

Among the most searched Vietnamese players, Nguyen Xuan Son (Rafaelson) led the list, followed by Nguyen Hoang Duc, goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Tien Linh, and Do Duy Manh.
