VietNamNet Bridge – The coach of Song Lam Nghe An FC came first in the Fairplay Award poll 2012.

In 100 ballots issued for five nominees, the organizers collected 90 votes, including two invalid votes.

Coach Huu Thang took the lead. Thang’s nice action of accepting postponement of the match between his team and Da Nang FC in the 14th round of the 2012 V-League when a series of Da Nang players suffered from food poisoning. In the offset match then, Song Lam Nghe An failed to 0-4 before the Da Nang team.

Defender Vo Nhat Tan of Dong Tam FC ranked second. He was appreciated for denouncing a match fixing case before the game between his team and Tay Ninh FC. Accordingly, Tay Ninh FC’s Nguyen Thanh Trung called Tan to suggest Tan to arrange the failure for Dong Tam in the match against Tay Ninh. After being denounced, Nguyen Thanh Trung was banned from playing football for five years.

Referee Vo Minh Tri came third. The referee was nominated for his care actions of a player of the Sedney FC who was injured at the International U21 Tournament held in Gia Lai in October 2012. And yet, at the hearing of two fans who assaulted Tri, the referee asked the judging panel to reduce the crime for the two fans of Hai Phong and did not require compensation.
