The CMC Technology Group captivated audiences at the National Innovation and Startup Festival 2024 (Techfest Vietnam 2024), showcasing its Open AI Ecosystem.

The event, themed "Joining Hands to Develop Vietnam's Innovative Startup Ecosystem," was held from November 26 to 28 in Hai Phong City, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Hai Phong People's Committee.

Prime Minister’s call for innovation

In his keynote address, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh lauded the pivotal role of startups in boosting productivity, quality, and competitiveness across industries. He stressed that innovation drives transformation, creating new markets and industries, and shaping Vietnam's path in the modern era.

Highlighting the importance of a robust ecosystem, the Prime Minister emphasized three principles for success: shared determination, collaborative action, and mutual benefits. He urged young entrepreneurs to boldly confront challenges and aspire to establish globally recognized “unicorns.”

Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat echoed this sentiment, outlining the remarkable progress of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem in his opening remarks.

CMC showcases cutting-edge Open AI Ecosystem

Among the highlights of Techfest Vietnam 2024 was CMC Technology Group’s presentation of its Open AI Ecosystem.

At its booth, CMC unveiled advanced AI solutions developed entirely in-house, spanning hardware, operating systems, and applications. A key feature of this innovation is its offline functionality, which mitigates cybersecurity risks by eliminating reliance on internet servers.

CMC AI Camera: Equipped with four built-in applications and ten AI models, this camera autonomously detects faces and alerts users to anomalies such as fires or intrusions. Its capability to function during power outages caused by tampering drew significant attention from visitors.

CMC AI Box: This compact server integrates an operating system, six applications, and ten AI models. It upgrades clusters of standard cameras into smart cameras with capabilities on par with the CMC AI Camera. Beyond surveillance, the AI Box serves as an IoT gateway, office server, and factory control hub. Pre-installed applications include:

-          Internet-independent online meetings

-          Digital transformation tools

-          Citizen ID chip reading

-          Meeting transcription

-          Legal document review

Minister Huynh Thanh Dat visited CMC’s booth and commended its pioneering AI solutions. The booth drew significant interest, solidifying CMC’s position as a leader in Vietnam’s tech industry.

As Vietnam’s premier startup forum, Techfest Vietnam fosters collaboration among experts, organizations, and global stakeholders. Since 2015, it has played a crucial role in advancing the national innovative startup ecosystem under Decision No. 844/QD-TTg.

The 2024 event marked a significant milestone in Vietnam’s journey to becoming a global innovation hub, further supported by the participation of tech leaders like CMC Technology Group.
