The Prime Minister has approved a scheme for climate resilience development in urban areas in the next 10 years.
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) has approved a non-refundable aid worth 30.2 million USD to help Vietnam enhance climate resilience, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
Climate change is the biggest challenge to Vietnam and the farmers and the poor are the most vulnerable. In response, a number of measures have been taken by the country to mitigate climate change.
