Biti’s was established by the Chinese-origin family of Vuu Khai Thanh in early 1980s. The company was set up on the basis of two footwear production workshops Binh Tien and Van Thanh located in district 6, HCMC which employed about 20 workers and only made simple rubber slippers.

In 1986, the two workshops merged to form Binh Tien Rubber Cooperative which specialized in making high-quality shoes for domestic consumption and export to eastern and western Europe. ‘Biti’s’ brand was born.
