Authorities in Binh Thuan Province have deported two Chinese men for violating the terms of their tourist visas by engaging in unauthorized activities.

On April 21, the Immigration Management Department of the Binh Thuan Provincial Police announced that they had escorted two Chinese nationals to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and completed procedures to deport them according to regulations.
Previously, during a high-profile crackdown on crime and efforts to ensure public security in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification and the liberation of Binh Thuan Province, immigration officers coordinated with local police units to inspect accommodation facilities and businesses hosting foreign nationals.
During these inspections, police discovered that the two Chinese men had no record of temporary residence and were suspected of engaging in activities inconsistent with their stated reasons for entry.
The two individuals were identified as Liu Rong (born 1992) and Pan Yunfei (born 1979).
They confessed to entering Vietnam under the pretense of tourism while also seeking to meet and potentially marry Vietnamese women.
The Immigration Management Department concluded that both men had engaged in activities that were inconsistent with the stated purposes of their visa applications.
Before their deportation, each man was fined 17.5 million VND (approximately 690 USD) for the violation.
