VietNamNet Bridge – On March 22, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Standing Committee held an extraordinary meeting to announce the dismissal decision against the province’s Chairman – Mr. Truong Tan Thieu. Also, the Chairman of the Political Bureau of the Military Zone 7 was appointed as the Binh Phuoc Deputy Party Secretary.

The Party Central Committee Secretariat issued Decision No. 707 to dismiss Thieu from the posts of Deputy Party Secretary and Chair of Binh Phuoc Province in the 2010-2016 term. Four months ago, Thieu had to serve of warning from the Party Central Committee.

According to the Central Inspection Committee, as the Deputy Secretary cum Chairman of the Binh Phuoc Party Committee, Thieu repeatedly violated the democratic principle and the working regulations of the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee. He was also irresponsible in inspection, monitoring and signed a number of decisions which are contrary to the provisions of law. Some of his acts caused losses to the budget and serious consequences. These cases have been transferred to the legal agencies for investigation.

At the meeting, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Standing Committee also announced the decision of the Central Committee Secretariat on the appointment of Major General Nguyen Van Tram, Chairman of the Political Bureau of the Military Zone 7, as the Deputy Party Secretary of Binh Phuoc Province for the 2010-2015 term.
