VietNamNet Bridge – The tourism authorities of Danang City and Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue provinces have prepared many new tours, entertainment services and festivals to woo visitors this year.

The three localities in central Vietnam introduced their new tourism products and services to travel agencies based in HCMC at a function last week.

Danang will launch more waterway tours, DHC Marina water sports club and Helio entertainment center in addition to French Village at Ba Na Hills and an elevated train at Asia Park, among others. An international fireworks competition with the participation of teams from South Africa, the United States, Poland, Australia and Vietnam is under preparation in the city.

Quang Nam introduced eight new tours, including those for travelers to experience the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail and the magnificent Truong Son Mountain Range. The local government will also inaugurate Ha Thanh Beach in Tam Ky and Loc Yen Village in Tien Phuoc.

In addition to new tourism events, the authorities of Thua Thien-Hue will open a pedestrian square and launch four promotion campaigns this year. Particularly, visitors can buy a three-day tour for VND1,999,000 or above a person with two nights at four-star hotels.

The three localities have jointly held many tourism promotion events over the years. They will join hands to spur the development of marine and heritage tourism in the region this year.

The region of Danang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue welcomed more than 14 million local and foreign tourists last year.

Danang to have more luxury hotels

* Two five-star and three four-star hotels with a total of 622 guest rooms will be up and running this year, according to Danang City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The department said Nam An Resort has 100 rooms and 42 villas while Fusion Suite has 129 rooms. Three four-star hotels are Meila Danang with 158 rooms, Avatar Danang with 100 rooms and Diamond Sea with 135 rooms.
