The event’s organisers, B Productions company, said Japanese artists will bring an art space to local residents and Vietnamese visitors, introducing Japanese-style Tsunami Arts – art created in the aftermath of Japanese earthquake, Dragon Ryujin painting, Japanese flower arrangement or Ikebana, calligraphy, samurai dances, kimono display and fashion, and Japanese tea-making and tasting experience.

It said the event will be open at no charge for visitors to exchange and experience Japanese arts and culture in Đà Nẵng.

Last year, an exhibition of Japanese dolls celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Việt Nam, was organised by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Việt Nam.

Đà Nẵng is seen as a favourite rendezvous of art troupes and artists from Sakai, Yokohama, Kawasaki, Kisarazu, Mimasaka, Nagasaki and Kushiro in Japan, for the annual Việt Nam-Japan Culture Exchange since 2014.

Đà Nẵng city-based Đông Á University also organises an annual Japanese-Vietnamese Culture Exchange Day, strengthening the friendship between Đà Nẵng and Japan. VNS
