VietNamNet Bridge - After about two hours of testing in a lake in a private industrial zone in Thai Binh City, the mini submarine named Truong Sa, manufactured by a local businessman, could dive and resurface at the witness of hundreds of people.
At about 7am on March 28, businessman Nguyen Quoc Hoa and his co-workers broke the tank to take the mini-submarine out.
Hoa entered the submarine to check technical parameters before taking the vehicle to the lake.
The submarine was loaded onto a truck, by a crane.
The testing location is about 3km from Hoa’s mechanical enterprise. To bring the submarine to the lake, Hoa used two crane trucks, including one with a tonnage of 50 tons.
After more than one hour, the submarine was loaded on the truck.
Due to high load, it took the truck about 30 minutes to run to the lake. The lake is about 3 hectares wide, more than 2m deep.
The submarine was put into the lake.
Hoa clings to a hook to get into the submarine to start the testing process. The mini-submarine was charged with 170 liters of oil.
At around 10am, the test began at the witness of hundreds of people.
The ship increased speed and moved rhythmically on the lake. Because the water level in the lake is only 2m, the water just covered the ship body.
Around 12.10pm, Hoa got ashore after successfully testing the submarine. Hoa said there was no technical problem during the test.
At the end of the testing process, Hoa said he planed to manufacture another submarine named Truong Sa 2. He said he would test the submarine at sea when he gets a license.
