Bac Giang, one of the provinces with the highest economic growth rates in the country, has a very high demand for workers. The Bac Giang Employment Service Center reported that the locality needs over 107,600 workers in 2025, including 24,767 in the first quarter, 32,975 in the second, 31,056 in the third, and 18,884 in the fourth quarter.
The province organized the first direct job fair of the year, connecting online with 13 provinces and cities including Hanoi, Bac Ninh and others, offering 71,000 job positions in various sectors.
Bac Giang Vice Chair Mai Son said many companies are facing a labor shortage, especially skilled workers.
The business fields that have the highest worker demand include Electricity – Electronics – IT; Textiles – Garments – Packaging – Footwear; Processing and Manufacturing; and Commerce - Services.
Businesses do not require experience and technical skills for ordinary workers, but candidates for the positions of heads of divisions and chief accountants must have 2-5 years of experience.
Salaries depend on qualifications. Unskilled workers are offered pay of VND7-10 million, while skilled workers can earn VND10-15 million.
Businesses in Hanoi also intensified their recruitment efforts after Tet holiday. It is estimated that local businesses needed 87,755 workers in January, mostly in the fields of wholesale, retail, and other services, food processing, manufacturing and construction.
Companies are mainly recruiting for management positions, business staff, and production workers to quickly stabilize operations.
Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, noted that demand for recruitment always surges in January, especially in retail, services, logistics, construction and manufacturing.
The center reported that 44,376 individuals needed jobs in January 2025.
Most workers are expecting pay of VND5-10 million a month (85.92 percent), while 9.69 percent want a salary of VND10-20 million, while only 3.03 percent request more than VND20 million.
In Thanh Hoa, the Thanh Hoa Employment Service Center on February 17 organized a job transaction session with the participation of 17 businesses.
At this early year job fair, 10,836 recruitment and enrollment positions were available, including opportunities of working abroad with earnings of up to VND40 million a month.
The center plans to organize over 20 job transaction sessions and about 30 employment counseling conferences this year to help workers access labor market information, recruitment needs, and income levels to choose suitable jobs.
The Department of Employment believes that 2025 will be a year of great opportunities as Vietnam continues to be among the top destinations for foreign investment.
With the explosion of technology, enterprises will prioritize recruiting workers in fields related to information technology, AI, renewable energy, and digital transformation.
