Dan McAllen, 21, was given with a duck when he bought a motorcycle from a fellow Northern Irishman in Ho Chi Minh City. The young man decided to name the duck Rab. 

Dan and his friends from Northern Ireland put Rab into a crate.

Dan tied the crate behind his motorcycle and brought Rab with him traveling around Vietnam. Dan's team visited nine cities in the country.

Dan McAllen and his friends took the duck everywhere, including bars or restaurants.

Rab on a boat during the trip to discover the Phong Nha Cave in Quang Binh Province.

Rab is considered as a team member. 

Dan and Rab have become close friends and they are often photographed together.

Dan had to leave the duck in a lake in the Hanoi Zoo after his trip in Vietnam ended. Dan said: "'It was absolutely heart-breaking - he was like a member of the family."
