VietNamNet Bridge - Santos FC (Brazil), the first team of Barca FC’s star Neymar has confirmed to go to Ho Chi Minh City to play a friendly against Vietnam U23 team in late September.

This year, the HCM City Football Cup will not be held in the form of competition for the trophy. Instead, the HCM City Football Federation decided to invite two foreign FCs to play friendlies with the U23 Vietnam team. After sending invitation letters to some prestigious FCs of Europe and South America, the federation finally received an official confirmation of participation from the Santos FC.

Santos is a well-known South American team and the top FC of Brazil. In the previous seasons, the club owned football prodigy Neymar before he moved to Barcelona FC in early July 2013. Without Neymar, Santos still has many top stars.

Reportedly, Santos promised to bring the most powerful force to Vietnam this September. It will be a good opportunity for U23 Vietnam to play with this team and the fans will also have the opportunity to admire the elite skills of the Brazilian team.

The friendly match between U23 Vietnam and Santos will take place on September 29 at the Thong Nhat Stadium, HCM City.

Besides Santos, U23 Vietnam team will play a friendly with the young team of Malaga FC of Spain on September 27, also at Thong Nhat Stadium.

In preparation for the 27th SEA Games, U23 Vietnam will have a training course in Hungary in early September and play friendly against U23 Myanmar in October. The team will also attend the Binh Duong-BTV Cup before leaving to Myanmar for the SEA Games.
