On the morning of April 9, Nhan Dan Newspaper, in collaboration with IB Group Vietnam, officially launched the Victory – Bond in Vietnam music video, which captures Bond’s performance at iconic sites across Quang Ninh Province.
Through this special musical production, organizers aim to showcase the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of Vietnam, while promoting the country as a premier travel destination.
Back in October 2024, more than 3,000 spectators enjoyed an electrifying concert titled Bond Live in Vietnam at the National Convention Center. Immediately following their performance, the four members of Bond traveled to remote island areas of Ha Long Bay to film scenes for the Victory music video.
Familiar scenes like sunrise over the sea, the daily lives of local fishermen, and breathtaking natural landmarks such as Hon Trong Mai (Fighting Cock Islet), Oan Beach, and the striking Dragon Eye Island are featured in the video. Combined with Bond’s captivating performance, the visuals create a breathtaking portrait of the UNESCO-recognized natural wonder.
Speaking at the launch event, Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Secretary of its Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - shared that the video was completed last year but required additional filming and meticulous editing, which delayed its official release in Vietnam until now.
“Ha Long Bay is already famous. Even without this MV, many people have visited. But through this production, Nhan Dan Newspaper hopes to make a small contribution to promoting the bay and Vietnam to the world - through the image of internationally recognized artists and the familiar melodies of Bond,” Minh said.
Nguyen Thuy Duong, Chairman of IB Group Vietnam and Director of the Victory MV, noted that the success of Kenny G’s Going Home MV set a high bar for this production.
“Though the video is just over three minutes long, we had to scout locations 10 times. A storm, Yagi, destroyed several chosen filming sites. But we were determined to complete this project to share Ha Long Bay’s beauty with the world. No matter how strong the storm, Ha Long’s enduring beauty never fades,” he said.
At the event, Cao Tuong Huy, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee, remarked: “Watching this MV, I believe everyone from Ha Long will be deeply moved. We work by this heritage site every day, and we always feel something special, but this video elevates that feeling to an entirely new level.”
Huy expressed confidence that Victory would deliver great value to Quang Ninh’s tourism industry and to Vietnam at large. “The visuals selected for the MV are of tremendous quality. The angles and scenes captured by the team truly evoke powerful emotions. I’m certain that anyone who’s visited Ha Long will want to return after watching this.”
During the launch event, the organizers presented the Victory MV to Quang Ninh Province leaders, airlines, travel corporations, hotels, and tour operators to aid in promoting Ha Long Bay and Vietnam globally.
