Authorities in the southern province of Binh Phuoc have requested an urgent investigation into a serious illegal logging in the locality.
Many trees have been cut down at Tan Lap Farm
The move was launched after many trees at area 363, Tan Lap Farm in Dong Phu District had been cut down.
Under the document signed by Binh Phuoc vice party secretary Tran Tue Hien, provincial police have been assigned to instruct the investigation into the case. Any violator will be strictly dealt with in line with laws.
According to Dong Phu District’s forest management board, 24 trees which have diameters of between 25-75 centimetres have been felled. Most of them have been transported away, while some have left at the spot.
The area is now managed by Binh Phuoc Rubber One Member Ltd.Co.
So far this year, Binh Phuoc forest management board has detected 124 forest violations, including 30 illegal logging cases.
