Binh Dien Long An defeated LienVietPostBank 3-2 in the final.
Long An dominated the first set and won 25-12, then took the next set with a score of 25-22. However, LienVietPostBank fought back strongly to win the third set, 25-21.
The win spurred on LienVietPostBank. They held effective counter attacks to win the fourth set with the score of 25-23.
In the decisive final set, LienVietPostBank’s key player Nguyen Linh Chi was forced to leave the game with an injury. They still fought hard, but they lost by a score of 13-15.
Binh Dien Long An’s captain Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa contributed a great performance to her team’s victory, scoring the most points at the event. She played for Bangkok Glass VC, a Thai professional volleyball club, from 2014-17. With the Thai club, she played at the 2016 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, finishing in the seventh place.
