VietNamNet Bridge - Fishermen in the village of Binh Chau, Quang Ngai province, have found many precious artifacts allegedly 800 years old near a 700-year-old sunken ship that was excavated in 2013.

 VietNamNet Bridge - On January 21, nearly 5,000 artifacts excavated in the 700-year-old shipwreck in Quang Ngai were divided, based on the Law on Cultural Heritage and the decision of Quang Ngai authorities.

Fishermen in the fishing village of Binh Chau in Binh Son District, the central Quang Ngai province have publicly sold antiques collected from the 700 -year-old wreck or display them at home after a long period of hiding.

In early August 19, hundreds of fishermen rushed to the waters of Binh Chau Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province to illegally salvage artifacts from a fourth ancient ship which was just discovered on the evening of August 18.

 VietNamNet Bridge – On August 16, people of Chau Thuan village in Binh Chau Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province, discovered the 2nd ancient ship which was only 100m from the wreck found early this year.

 VietNamNet Bridge - After salvaging 4,000 artifacts from the ancient wreck in Binh Chau, Quang Ngai province, experts and archaeologists have discovered many precious artifacts around the ship.

To preserve the underwater cultural heritage in Binh Chau, Quang Ngai, authorities have assigned Doan Anh Duong Co., Ltd. to expand the survey area to look for other ancient ships in the surrounding area of the 700-year-old wreck.

 VietNamNet Bridge – Although the ship was submerged in the sea of Binh Chau in the central province of Quang Ngai for nearly 700 years, it remains intact, making experts surprised.

"For the first time Vietnamese experts have excavated the shipwreck dating back to the 13th century. This is the oldest wreck in Vietnam waters," said the former director of the Vietnam National Museum of History.

Waves of more than 5m high hit the wreck that contains 500-year-old antiques in the waters of Binh Chau in the central province of Quang Ngai this morning, June 11. The excavation was suspended for the safety of dozens of professionals and workers.

More than 500 years after the explosion that wrecked the ship carrying ceramic items in the waters of Binh Chau commune, Quang Ngai Province, hundreds of antiquities from the wreck were picked up from the seabed on June 4.
