Samsung President Lee Jae-yong
Lee Jae-yong officially became the president of Samsung Group in 2022.
He began working for Samsung in 1991 and was appointed vice president in 2012.
Samsung group was established by Lee Byung-chul in 1938. After he passed away in 1987, his son Lee Kun-hee took over the post of president until he passed away in 2020. Lee Jae Yong is the next generation.
According to Forbes, the owner of Samsung is the second richest billionaire in South Korea with assets of $8.8 billion.
Hyundai president Chung Eui-sun
Chung Eui-sun officially became president of the automobile manufacturing group in 2020.
He was born in 1970, graduated from Korea University majoring in Business Administration. After that, he obtained a master’s degree from University of San Francisco.
He began working at Hyundai in 1999 and experienced different posts at the group before he took office as vice president in September 2018.
According to Forbes, he ranks 13th among South Korean billionaires with assets of $3.2 billion.
SK’s president Chey Tae-won
Chay Tae-won, born in 1960, is president of the second largest group of South Korea which operates in the field of energy, chemicals, telecommunications, semiconductor and biopharmaceuticals.
The owner of SK Group, with 186 subsidiaries, is the 19th richest billionaire in South Korea with assets worth $1.5 billion.
LG president Koo Kwang-moo
Koo Kwang-moo is president and CEO of LG, one of the five leading groups in South Korea, the automobile electronics and household use appliance manufacturer.
He began as president in 2019, at the age of 41, becoming the youngest president of a large group.
With assets of $1.9 billion, he is the 17th richest South Korean billionaire.
Lotte president Shin Dong-bin
Lotte is the fifth largest group of South Korea, operating in the fields of retail, chemicals, hotel and others.
According to Forbes, the owner of Lotte ranks 48th in the list of billionaires with assets worth $870 million.
CJ president Kyung Shik Sohn
Kyung Shik Sohn, born in 1939, has a master’s degree in business administration from University of Oklahoma. He has been president of CJ since 1995. Established in 1953, CJ was developed from CJ CheilJedang.
