Tran Thi Bich Thuy achieved a memorable milestone with GS Caltex, though her team suffered a comeback loss to Expressway in Round 6 of the 2025 South Korean Volleyball League.
On the afternoon of March 12, GS Caltex faced off against Expressway in Round 6 of the 2025 South Korean National Volleyball Championship.
Riding a wave of consecutive victories, Bich Thuy and her teammates entered the match with confidence, knowing a win would lift them from the bottom of the standings.
Before this match, Bich Thuy had scored a total of 99 points for GS Caltex since joining the South Korean league.
The Vietnamese spiker needed just one more point against Expressway to reach the 100-point milestone.
However, the 2000-born middle blocker accomplished far more than that. As in previous matches, Bich Thuy played a crucial role in her team’s gameplay.
She not only contributed strong defensive blocks but also scored 10 points for GS Caltex over five sets. With this performance, Bich Thuy became the seventh GS Caltex player to surpass 100 points in the 2024/25 season.
Unfortunately, despite her strong performance, GS Caltex suffered a narrow 2-3 defeat (25-23, 21-25, 25-18, 22-25, 12-15) against Expressway. As a result, GS Caltex remains at the bottom of the standings.
