Van Don District, known for its over 600 islands and stunning natural landscapes, is home to Bai Tu Long National Park — an ASEAN heritage park that preserves many rare and precious plant and animal gene pools, making it a prime destination for eco-tourism.
In 2024, Van Don's tourism recorded robust growth with over 1.8 million visitors and total revenue exceeding VND 2,850 billion (around $121 million). The launch of new tourism routes is expected to elevate the local tourism sector, aiming to attract 2 million visitors by 2025 and 8 million visitors by 2030.
