Giáp Văn Ơn, vice chairman of Lục Nam District’s People’s Committee told Dân Trí online newspaper that this was one measure the committee, together with the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, would take to clarify the illegal exploitation of land mine of Bình Minh Production and Trade Co Ltd recently.
Authorities would re-examine the amount of land the enterprises have exploited.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment would decide to revoke the operation licence of the enterprise after results of the inspection were announced, he said.
In the report the committee sent to the department on March 11, Bình Minh Production and Trade Co Ltd was reported to have expanded its land exploitation activity in Lục Nam District’s Tiên Nha Commune.
The enterprise was only licensed to carry exploitation activity on a 3-hectare area in Lục Ngạn District’s Phượng Sơn Ward for 18 months.
The company had also built an inland waterway port to serve the activity. — VNS
