The event is being organized by the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation and the provincial Department of Culture and Sports and will attract the participation of four local fighters, along with 16 competitors from Japan, China, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Australia, and Taipei (China).
The Vietnamese fighters include Trieu Thi Phuong Thuy, Huynh Van Tuan, Nguyen Xuan Phuong, and Nguyen Quang Huy.
According to the schedule, the only women's match will feature about between seven-time champion Trieu Thi Phuong Thuy and Choi Eun Ji of RoK in the 52kg category.
Meanwhile, in the men's 54kg class, Huynh Van Tuan, who has dominated the national championships with six titles and pocketed two SEA Games golds and one silver medal, will fight Japanese rival Yo Toguchi who has recorded one win, one draw, and one loss in his pro career.
In the men's 64kg, SEA Games 32 defending champion Nguyen Xuan Phuong will face Kwon Gi Seop of the RoK, who earned 16 wins in his 20 fights.
The remaining Vietnamese fighter Nguyen Quang Huy, who triumphed at the 31st SEA Games in the men's 60kg category, is due to take on Park Jae Won of the RoK, who has won eight out of 12 pro matches.
Maximum Fighting Championship is the RoK's biggest kickboxing organisation. It has produced many famous martial artists from both the RoK and other countries all around the world.
