VietNamNet Bridge – The Asia-Pacific Father&Son Golf Tournament will kick off at the Long Thanh Golf Resort in Dong Nai Province next month.

According to organisers, the event is open to any combination of family members, whether father or mother and son or daughter, uncle or aunt and nephew or niece, or members of families directly related to each other. They will do battle to see who emerges as the best in the region.

The tournament is designed to promote greater family involvement in golf, and clubs are encouraged to enter teams to participate in the event that promises to become an annual tournament.

It is estimated to attract 72 pairs, with 30 from the Asia-Pacific region and the rest from Viet Nam.

They will start the tournament with stroke play based on official handicap. Eight pairs with best results will receive awards.

This prestigious tournament will be staged on December 6 and 7.

World-class golfer Peter Longo will hold demonstrations at the event.
