Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) has issued a statement strongly denying false allegations circulating on social media, claiming that its executives were involved in gambling and transferring tens of millions of USD abroad.
In an announcement released on the evening of January 4, ACB addressed the fabricated rumors spread via social media livestreams. The bank emphasized that these baseless allegations severely damage the dignity, honor, and legitimate interests of its leadership while tarnishing ACB's reputation.
“These fabricated claims have caused significant harm to the image and credibility of ACB and its leadership,” the bank stated.
ACB further noted the potential for these false reports to create public unrest and undermine financial stability in Vietnam’s banking sector.
To address the issue, ACB has gathered all relevant evidence and reported the incident to the appropriate authorities for investigation and legal action.
The bank reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, safety, and accountability in all operations, ensuring the rights and interests of its customers, shareholders, and partners.
The unsubstantiated rumors, alleging that an ACB executive engaged in gambling and illicit money transfers, had sparked significant attention and concern on social media prior to the bank's formal denial.
