Following the introduction of the budget-friendly iPhone 16e, along with the new MacBook Air and Mac Studio powered by M4 and M3 Ultra chips, Apple still has several exciting products lined up for release this summer.
At least three more products are expected to receive upgrades before the season ends. However, as always with Apple, nothing is guaranteed.
Smart home control center

Apple is developing a new Home Command Center designed to function as a central hub for smart home systems.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, this new smart device will resemble an iPad and could be launched as early as early 2025. The Command Center is expected to feature a 6 or 7-inch screen, an A18 chip, and support for Apple Intelligence. Gurman notes that it could be mounted on a desktop stand or attached to a wall, featuring an integrated speaker.
However, Gurman also suggests that Apple may delay its release until the end of the year due to dependencies on features in iOS 18.4 and iOS 19. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo further predicts that this device may not be launched until Q2 or Q3 of 2025.
Back in February, Gurman had already noted that the Home Command Center’s release was still "months away."
Mac Pro

Bloomberg reports that Apple’s new Mac Pro is set for an upgrade in summer 2025. Initially, it was expected to feature the M4 Ultra chip, but with Apple recently unveiling the M3 Ultra for Mac Studio, this is now uncertain.
Apple previously confirmed that the M4 Max would not support UltraFusion connectivity, meaning it cannot be combined into an M4 Ultra, as was done in past iterations. If there are no changes, the new Mac Pro may continue using the M3 Ultra - the most powerful Mac chip Apple has introduced so far.
AirTag 2

The AirTag 2 is expected to feature a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, first introduced in the iPhone 15 lineup last year. Additionally, to prevent unauthorized tracking, Apple will make the integrated speaker harder to remove.
In terms of design, the new AirTag is unlikely to see significant changes compared to the current model. However, its range may be expanded, improving the Precision Finding feature even over longer distances.
Apple plans to release the second-generation AirTag by mid-2025, according to Mark Gurman. However, another leaker suggests it could launch even sooner, potentially in May or June this year.
iOS 19
Apple is set to unveil iOS 19 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2025, though the official release will not occur until September, alongside the launch of the iPhone 17 lineup.
Recent leaks indicate that iOS 19 development is facing delays as Apple continues to refine iOS 18. This may result in some new features being rolled out gradually across updates, similar to how Apple handled iOS 18.
One of the most significant potential changes includes a redesigned Camera app inspired by visionOS. New apps such as Invites, Apple Sports, and Apple Playground are expected to feature modern interfaces with transparency effects, dynamic buttons, and content-optimized designs.
In addition, Apple is working on an enhanced version of Siri powered by a large language model (LLM) to compete with AI chatbots like ChatGPT. However, Mark Gurman states that Apple is unlikely to unveil the new Siri at WWDC 2025, and the feature may not be available until iOS 19.4 in March or April next year. Some Apple software engineers even believe Siri’s major upgrade might not arrive until iOS 20.
Meanwhile, iOS 18.5 is expected to launch in May, bringing improvements to Siri, including the ability to recognize on-screen content, understand personal context, and offer deeper control over individual apps.
This summer may not bring a flood of new Apple products, but users can still look forward to a new Mac Pro, AirTag 2, and iOS 19. Additionally, the smart home control center could make its debut by the end of the year or early next year.
