Update news anti-dumping taxes
The US’s decision not to impose anti-dumping tariffs on frozen shrimp products of the Minh Phu Seafood JSC exported to the US is objective and fair, said the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
Minh Phu Seafood Corp shares fell for a second day after the company confirmed it would co-operate with the US investigation into whether the Vietnamese firm had evaded anti-dumping taxes or not.
The market share of domestic companies witnessed a decrease during the 2018 - 2019 period and currently reaches 42.8%, indicating foreign companies are selling below their home markets prices.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has called for steelmakers to switch to using domestic materials following the US’ announcement of steep duties on steel products from Vietnam that are originally made in South Korea and Taiwan.
