VietNamNet Bridge - A venomous snake crawled into the house to bite a sleeping boy in the southern province of An Giang. The victim died on the way to the hospital.




The incident took place at around 3 am on November 16, in Tinh Bien district, An Giang province. Vo Thai Nguyen, an eighth grader of the Nui Cam Secondary School was sleeping in the house when a krait crawled into the house and bit his hand.

According to the victims' family, the snake got into the mosquito net to chase after a lizard. As Nguyen moved his arm, the snake bit his hand.

Soon after the incident, the family took the boy to the hospital, but Nguyen died on the road.

The boy’s home is located in the Cam Mountain, an area of lush vegetation.

On October 28, a snake crawled to the bed of Trinh Cong Son, 20, in Thu Duc district, Ho Chi Minh City, and bit him on the neck.

Luckily, the man’s father woke up. He quickly used a pillow to grab the snake, put it into a bottle and took the victim and the snake to the hospital. The young man was rescued.
