VietNamNet Bridge – Alif Naaba, an artist composer, singer and musician who won the Gold Kunde award for the Best Artist in 2014 at “Victoires de la Musique” award ceremony in Burkina Faso, will show up at the World Music performance in HCMC on March 20.

The show is part of the International Francophonie Day to be organized by the Institute for Cultural Exchange with France (Idécaf) at 28 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1.

Alif Naaba is inspired by the stories from family life which are presented in most of his successful songs.

One of his musical works won Kunde 2005 for the best song while the two albums Foo in 2005 and Wakat in 2009 were well received by audiences.

He is also the winner of the 2012 Visa pour la creation (Passport to Creation) held by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and French Institute.

Also in the framework of the program, Cao Thanh Lan, a pianist born in 1987, will perform Préludes by C. Debussy and O. Messiaen on March 26. Lan studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium and won a gold award in ASIA International Piano Competition in South Korea in 2011.
