 A King Air plane.

At 16h20 pm yesterday, a King Air of VASCO had to land in the state of a stuck landing gear. There were nine people on the airplane, including three pilots, a flight control officer and five officials of the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Company.

In a statement released last evening, Vietnam Airlines said that after receiving a signal requesting help from the air traffic control station, Buon Ma Thuot airport in collaboration with the local anti-fire police forces and related agencies helped the airplane land safely. The entire crew and staff on the aircraft were safe.

This Beechcraft King Air 200 was manufactured in 1989 and its last maintenance was on August 29, 2013. This type of aircraft is used in general aviation purposes (flight calibration, search and rescue, aerial photography, geological surveys ...).

Because of the incident, Buon Ma Thuot airport was closed for nearly 3 hours and it resumed operation at 7pm.

The cause is being investigated by the aviation authorities.
