Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific Airlines have adjusted schedules of flights to and from Japan’s Osaka International Airport due to its closure over the impact of typhoon Trami.
The airport said it will close a number of runways from 11:00 on September 30 to 6:00 on October 1 (Japan time).
As a result, Vietnam Airlines’ flights from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City to Osaka (VN330, VN320) and from Hanoi to Nagoya (VN346) on September 30 early morning will depart later at 23:30 on the same day.
A similar situation faces its September 30 flights from Osaka to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (VN331, VN321) and from Nagoya to Hanoi (VN347), with their new departure times scheduled to be after 9:00 on October 1 (Japan time).
Vietnam Airlines will cancel two flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Nagoya on September 30 (VN340 and VN341). Affected passengers can exchange their tickets for free for other flights on the next day.
Jetstar Pacific Airlines will cancell its Da Nang – Osaka and Osaka – Hanoi flights (BL164, BL621) on September 30.
The two airlines are closely following the storm’s developments to come up with prompt flight time changes to ensure passengers’ safety with minimum impacts on their travelling.
