These violations were committed during the four 2023 AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup qualifying matches between Australia and the Philippines, Bangladesh and Vietnam, the Philippines and Bangladesh, along with Vietnam and Australia.

As hosts, Vietnam failed to equip ambulances with advanced life support equipment, emergency medications, and properly trained medical staff.

The insufficient setup of medical rooms with necessary emergency equipment was the second violation.

VFF didn’t meet medical requirements to provide immediate care for players who suffer severe injuries, or offer emergency services for AFC delegations.

They therefore received the penalty at the end of September, marking a full year after hosting the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup.

Vietnam will host the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers at Viet Tri stadium in Phu Tho province in late October.

AFC warned VFF would face harsher penalties if similar violations occur again.
