Thao Huong, currently residing in the US, has shared a touching story about her future parents in-laws, capturing attention from netizens. Her post received over 9,000 likes and was shared across social media forums.

Huong recounted that as her boyfriend was away on a business trip, he told her to stay in his rented room to save lodging costs. After staying there for a week, her boyfriend’s father came to help her fix the washing machine. After that, he called his son, chiding him for not stocking up on food and drinks for her.

"At noon, after receiving the food he ordered, cooking some soup, and having my lunch, I heard a knock at the door. Opening it, I saw my boyfriend's father and mother in a pickup, bringing large boxes of supplies to me.

“His father cleared the snow away, while his mother stocked the fridge. Now, the fridge is full, and my heart is brimming with love," she wrote, attaching a photo of a fridge packed with neatly organized food and drinks.

Lam Thao Huong, born 1999, from HCM City came to the US to study for a master’s degree in August 2024. Her boyfriend, Benjamin, born in 1986, is from Pennsylvania.

Huong said she received this unexpected gift from her boyfriend's parents on January 18. Overwhelmed by emotion, she posted the story on social media, not anticipating such a warm response from netizens.

Huong’s boyfriend’s parents bought rice for Huong, though they don’t eat rice. When she told her boyfriend about it, he said, "Our fridge has never been this full, and it seems I’ve been replaced now that my parents have a daughter."

Before leaving, her future in-laws gave her warm advice: "Remember to turn on the lights at night so people know someone’s home. It's going to get cold in a few days, remember to wear warm clothes."

Huong and Benjamin first met in September 2024 while shopping. Benjamin asked for her phone number to get acquainted. After two months of conversations, they began dating.

She loves him for his sweetness, affection, and attentiveness. Benjamin always listens, compromises, and handles conflicts calmly, she said.
